Notes
Hey foodie friends! Today is all about the Best Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls! Hang around to find out about my time saving Instant Pot hack to get these bad boys in your face in no time.
Now, I don’t know about you, but when something has a main flavor theme, I want to be able to undeniably taste that flavor. None of that ‘hint’ business. So, biscoff fans, this one is for you! Because, there is no denying these are biscoff cinnamon rolls. Not only are we using both the cookie and the spread on this one, you guys. To take it another mother further, we are also rolling the cinnamon rolls in the crumbs. The result being an ooey-gooey lush twirl of a creation of finger-licking sweetness and biscoff spice.
Family Tradition
I also wanted to share a tradition that has brought joy and sweetness to many of my family’s weekends. What my two kiddos and I soon dubbed “Cinnamon Roll Saturday.”
It all started during a challenging time when my husband was away in the military for the better part of a year. It began as a way to keep spirits high, little hands busy, and to still create special family memories. Let’s be real, yall, it was also an excuse for me to eat my feelings, too!
How it went was every Saturday morning, my children and I (7 and almost 2, at the time) would gather around the kitchen counter. Everyone had their own personal mixing bowls and rolling pins. Their little, sleepy faces so ready to have a cinnamon roll making adventure. Soon, our little kitchen apartment became filled with giggles, the scent of cinnamon, and…flour. Flour was definitely everywhere, especially those first few Saturdays!
As we measured ingredients and kneaded dough, we passed the time in the best way: with the little pleasure of sweet treats and quality time.
Why Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls?
While regular cinnamon rolls are awesome, we were also having them once a week! So, it got to a point where we wanted more than regular cinnamon rolls. I also needed to change it up to keep my kids invested. For some reason, kids just love to dump and pour things. Ask my bathroom floor at bath time sometimes. The more ingredients the better!
So, these Best Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls became the first in a long line of experimental cinnamon rolls. I remember writing this recipe into a notebook of ideas one night after putting the kids to bed. It was also because of this recipe that I was encouraged to continue creating!
Cinnamon Rolls with the Instant Pot
I did come across one obstacle in our “Cinnamon Roll Saturday” kitchen hangouts. Proofing! Waiting for the dough to rise was just something that the kids were not into, though they wanted to make the dough.
Kid logic, amiright?
So, making the dough ahead of time was off the table.
Enter: The Instant Pot! Now, you may be wondering why we’re using an Instant Pot for this recipe. Well, let me tell you – total game-changer! The Instant Pot creates the perfect cute and cozy environment for our dough to proof and rise quickly and evenly. Plus, it’s mostly hands-off, giving you more time to kick back and relax while your rolls work their magic. Just kidding, you’re probably doing damage control on the kitchen, like me.
